Walking in the Light of God’s Son
Loving the Word #3 – Yielding to the Scripture’s Protective Cautions and Transforming Power to Bring Life Change in Me
“Do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh.” Galatians 5:13, NASB
As we embrace the imperative of our personal prayer for a Jesus-Now Awakening, let’s quietly pray King David’s prayer: “Create in me a clean heart, O God . . .” Psalm 51:10
Reflect on a recent time in your life when you did not love others well. Share your thoughts with Jesus. Tell Him about your sadness and regret.
Lord, I know that I did not love well when . . .
Now prepare for a time of cleansing and renewal with Jesus.
Lord, by your Spirit, would you remove anything from my life that hinders the expression of your love. Cleanse me, forgive me, empower me to live and love like Jesus.
“I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.” Psalm 119:104
“Be it done unto me according to Your word.” Luke 1:38
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your word.” Psalm 119:9
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:16–17
