Kathy Ireland grew up believing in God, but she says she did not truly know Him. At 18, newly launched into modeling and feeling lonely and rebellious, she found a Bible her mother had tucked into her suitcase. Sitting alone in her room, she opened to the book of Matthew and knew she was holding the truth. That was the moment she came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Years later, during quiet worship at a women’s conference, she sensed God gently tell her He was not truly first in her life. She began rising 15 minutes early each day to spend time with Him in prayer and the Word, and that time has grown ever since. Today she encourages others to stop trying to control everything and surrender to Jesus.
