Vienna, Austria: 20,000 March for Jesus

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, about 20,000 Christians filled Vienna’s Ringstrasse for the city’s first March for Jesus since 2016, according to organizers. More than 100 churches and Christian groups from across Austria took part, including Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, and free church congregations, with many young people among them. Passersby joined in along the route, which began and ended at Schwarzenbergplatz. Leaders from several traditions prayed together for unity and for Austria, and that evening young people shared their personal faith from the stage. Organizers say it was the largest Jesus march Vienna has seen.

Why it matters: in a city where faith is often kept private, thousands chose to confess Jesus together in public.
