On Saturday, October 10, 2026, about 550 people stepped into the cold North Sea at Bridlington, England, to be baptized and publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ. Organizer Merlin Kraft, known online as BibleLadUK, reports that about 1,500 people gathered on the beach as ten men baptized in five lines for two and a half hours. People traveled from across the country to take part. Just a month earlier, about 170 were baptized at Bigbury-on-Sea. Local churches have since told Kraft that newly baptized believers are already showing up on Sunday.
Why it matters: in a nation long described as post-Christian, hundreds are choosing to follow Jesus in public, and churches are seeing them walk through their doors.
